Blog Tour: JUST CALL ME NINJA

Guys, I am excited to be participating in the blog tour for  Just Call Me Ninja. There is a giveaway to enter as well.

Just Call Me Ninja Synopsis:
Sophomore Callista Trent is used to being the anonymous new girl. But when her mother’s nomadic job finally keeps her family in one place long enough to force Callista to settle in, she wants none of it. She doesn’t expect it to last, anyway—it never does.

She also doesn’t expect to stumble across a group of shinobi, modern-day ninjas who also happen to be high school students. Or for them to claim destiny sent her to join them. Or for the hot, harmonica-playing loner from her chemistry class to be one of the instructors.

For once, she starts to think that maybe she could belong somewhere. But she quickly learns her new friends aren’t running some casual karate school. And when Callista’s assigned to a dangerous mission they say only she can complete, she begins to suspect it wasn’t destiny that brought her to the shinobi at all but a carefully laid plan. Oh, and the worst part? The boy she thought she could trust may have known the truth all along.

I am so glad to have signed up for this blog tour. When I saw the book was about Ninjas- I was pumped. When i started reading the book i was this is so ridiculous Ninjas, i am reading about ninjas in an urban setting. And I mean ridiculous in that really crazy good kind of way. At first i was just like Callista (love her name, btw), skeptic about the whole Ninja business because these kids who were training for a Ninja session were just high school kids like her. They were form her own school. She found it even more ridiculous when Nick, one of the guys from the 'Ninja' group and from her school tells her that it was destiny that she came upon their session.

You see, Callista was only trying to find a cat for her neighbor who happened to be an old lady. Callista is hesitant about the whole ordeal when Nick asks her to join them, firstly, she doesn't believe they are Ninjas. Secondly, she doesn't live in one place for longer than a few months as her mom's a writer and they have to keep moving due to some other business as well. She decides to go with the flow once she sees her mom getting agitated when some guy named Tomas calls her mom. so, in order to track his number and all that she humors Nick and the gang for a while. She goes on her first mission and some time passes and she gets to know the real reason she was recruited for. She is furious, betrayed and disappointed... disappointed at Nick for lying to her.

You see, along the way, there has been some connection generating between her and Nick. Although Nick has been weird about it. Anyway, she decides to that mission that Sensei asks her to do and finds out the truth about her father and other important stuff. You have to read to find out what that info might be.

I loved Callista and her attitude. She was so funny. I found myself laughing many times during the whole read. I loved the whole Ninja business and I am so curious about the next book because i liked how the book ended and with what info was shared with us. I have a few theories, let's see if i am right about them when the next book comes out. Although, Nick seems to be the main guy... I am hoping Aaron is in the race, too. I liked him more. Also, one thing that annoyed me minor-ly was the fact that Nick's eyes used to be amused a lot. Gah. I loved that whole party scene where Callista did superb acting and quick thinking. Haha. I liked Maggie and i am hoping to see more of her in the next book.

Overall, this book was funny, with fast pacing and a plot that can be as unpredictable as it can get. It's a YA Thriller which is just awesome and I think Clare did a wonderful job in making me hooked to the characters and the story-line. I can't wait to find out more about the next book.
