Review: Kasie West's THE FILL-IN BOYFRIEND

I fell in love with Kasie West last year. And my love for her books is ever growing. *beams*

 I loved everything about this book, the way it started, the hook of the storyline, the realizations and the friendship. What I didn't like was the romance, I kinda didn't really believe it. It was supposed to be fake yeah, but then I guess it was too sudden or something in case of Gia.

I did like how she was trying to change herself after she realized she was a bit shallow. LOL. Some people will argue that she was very shallow and not a bit. Anyway, that was like Don't Look Back's Sam where she lost her memories and found out she was actually quite mean. I know being mean and shallow is completely different but it comes with the territory. If you know what I mean. ;-) I found Gia's behaviour to be believable and well, it didn't really put me off like it has other people. LOL.

Anyway, what her brother did was soo bad but the thing is it how Gia said that it wasn't the fact that he used her it was the fact that he didn't even feel sorry that he had kinda violated her. :/ The brother did raise an important issue and it is soo true for our society. So I liked that aspect of the story. This ugly truth taking toll of our generations.--Also, her parents, god, they were tiring. So posh. Goodness. Did-not like them one bit. Teheh. And I didn't really like her friends.

I loved Bec and fill-in Bradley but didn't really like his reaction at that beach before they confessed their feelings. But I guess I can't really complain as, well, fill-in Bradley has had a past. Soo, his reaction is kinda justified. LOL. Okay.

Anyway, I loved this book still and I'll read any contemporary by Ms. West. I'm her fan.. LOL.

This was short, sweet, and a quick read. I read it in one or two sittings.

Some of you might have problems with the shallowness and judgemental-ism but well, it's fictional, deal with it. This is supposed to be fun. xP

About the book:
