Review: Mario Candelaria's ASHES

 

I didn't really like the black and white art here. Black and white art can be really beautiful if done well but here, nuh-uh.


I didn't really like the story-line either. Thought it was too much. I didn't really connect-- I felt no empathy which is terrible of me but seriously if JK Rowling made us feel feel things for Severus Snape and Christopher Nolan for  Bane then I should have felt something for the protagonist of this comic book. Snape and Bane were villains if you are wondering... Also the misunderstood dad card-- nuh-uh..
